Civillita is named after a desire to live a cultural and creative life.
Theresa opened Civillita in July 2020 after 16 years of international teaching and more than 20 years of teaching and working as a practicing artist. Her students have attended top 10 Universities and Art Schools across the world including; Goldsmiths, St Martins, Parsons, New York School of Visual Art, Carnegie Mellon, Art Institute of Chicago, Pratt, and Rhode Island School of Design.
Having taught in China for close to a decade she has found locally produced materials that help artists create contemporary art.
We sell these materials on WeChat and in the shop in Jiuting. If you need something you can WeChat, or call and we will see what we can do. If you don't know how to do something, we will know someone who can help you.
